What is The Harmonic Hunt?

The Harmonic Hunt is a live frequency scavenger hunt. A target frequency is hidden somewhere in the 0.01 Hz to 96 kHz spectrum and you have to tune toward it, sounding tones in your browser and reading the resonance answer — cold, cool, warm, hot, searing, or LOCKED — plus the direction the target lies in. The target is never random: it is sealed out of the live Global Harmonic of the Harmonic Weave, live NOAA solar weather, a tone another member planted, or a harmonic of your own Anchor Tone.

How do I get access to The Harmonic Hunt?

Included with the $25/month Quantisophy™ Universal Access membership. The tone is generated locally in your browser; the hidden target is held on the server so it can never be read out of the page, and your hunts, XP and rank are saved privately to your account.

Can I hide my own frequency for others to find?

Yes. You can plant up to five tones in the field at once — a frequency that matters to you, named publicly, with a sealed message only the member who actually locks it will ever read. Whoever finds it is entangled with you on the Resonance Grid, and you are told the moment it happens.

How close do I have to be to lock a tone?

Within 12 cents of the target, measured as log-frequency distance, which is the same way musical intervals are measured. That means the tolerance scales properly across the whole spectrum — a lock at 0.5 Hz is as fair as a lock at 40 kHz.

Hunt a frequency that is alive

A live frequency scavenger hunt

The Harmonic Hunt

One frequency is hidden across the whole spectrum. It isn't a random number — it's drawn from something alive: the community's Global Harmonic, the live solar weather, or a tone another member planted and hid. Sound your own tone, and the field answers how close you ran: cold, warm, hot, locked.

A cent here is a unit of pitch, not money — nothing is ever spent or earned in this game. 100 cents is one semitone on a piano, so 12 cents is a hair's breadth. It's how musicians measure how sharp or flat a note is, and it works the same at 2 Hz as at 40 kHz.
